Mrs. Sharon Gregor

Mrs. Sharon Gregor

Math, Science

Mrs. Sharon Gregor earned her undergraduate degree in teaching and later felt called to homeschool her two daughters, which she continued from kindergarten through high school. As of this May, one is a graduate of IU South Bend, and the other is a rising junior at IU South Bend. Homeschooling became not only a way to teach but also a way to grow personally as an educator and as a parent. Through her journey, she gained a deeper appreciation for individualized instruction and developed a strong understanding of how to support a wide range of learning styles.

During those years, Sharon cultivated her love for math and science education and eventually returned to classroom teaching as a tutor for high school students in these subjects. She also served her local schools as a substitute teacher, continuing to share her enthusiasm for learning with a broad range of students. In 2022, she chose to deepen her expertise by pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching with a focus on Chemistry, and she graduated in May 2025.

She continues to enjoy tutoring students in various areas of math and science, using what she has learned through homeschooling and subbing so that she can provide individualized support to build student confidence. Sharon finds joy in helping each student discover how they learn best. Her passion lies in encouraging students to succeed and in continuing to grow alongside them as a lifelong learner.
