Advanced French Seminar / Grades 9-12 / Period 3/ CK / 1T – 2T – 3T
An immersive experience for our more experienced French students, Advanced French Seminar will take their French skills to the next level! Each trimester will feature a special topic and class will be interactive. For Trimester 1 and the beginning of Trimester 2, we will read and discuss the famous novella Le Petit Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. For the rest of Trimester 2, we will use the French 3 textbook to prepare for Le Grand Concours, the National French Exam. We will devote Trimester 3 to a study of French Christianity, to include history, Bible reading, prayer and praise songs in French. And of course, we will have to find time for a few «fêtes» (parties), n’est-ce pas? The French 3 textbook is required for all three trimesters. Prerequisite: Successful completion of French 2 or permission of the instructor.
