French 1 (CK 4) and French 1 Lab (CK 5)
This is a three-trimester course, the first year of high school French. Class consists of two periods (both required) so that students have time to practice speaking and listening to the language in person. Homework is graded for effort and completion and includes reading, writing, watching videos and taking a weekly online quiz. Grades are based on homework, weekly quizzes, class participation, and one in-class exam per trimester. On exam days, « On fête ! » – which means we have a party! Prerequisite: entering grades 8-12 or permission of the instructor.
