Acting (3-9)

This class will introduce acting techniques and allow students to grow in their skills and confidence without the large audience. All “performing” is done inside the classroom.

We will begin each class by explaining one or two games/techniques (depending on time). These techniques will focus on the many aspects of both verbal and non-verbal acting. We will work as a large group first, then continue the game(s) in smaller circles. For the second part of class, we will work on small group skits. We “perform” the skits in class weeks 8-10, and I video record them for the private viewing of MCA families. No formal grade will be given for this elective class. Students are required to memorize their lines for the skits by due dates listed in the syllabus.
